ICE SAR exercise

Winter is when SAR teams face some of the most arduous calls of the year. For these two teams, summer may be busy, but Iceland’s rough winter weather brings greater challenges and much more demanding situations. So with the first storms already hitting our shores, these team members went out for an exercise in beautiful autumn swells. It is important that crews have confidence in their equipment, and they certainly do in Rafnar boats. Going up to top speed in some nice waves without breaking a sweat.
In a few days, the South-West region will get one of the worlds most advanced and well equipped SAR-boats. Built just a few minutes away from the team itself, they have been an integral part of the whole process. Now, the capital will be equipped with one more 1100. Ready to take on the challenges the North Atlantic winter has in store for them..
